In March 2019, ICNU organised its very first intra-institute cricket league – CCL (Commerce Cricket League). Auctions for the same were held wherein 5 owner teams bid enthusiastically for 58 boys from all the three batches of ICNU. The five teams were – Chunky Monkees, The Invincible Fighters, The Cridators, Pitch Smashers, and Giant Super Novas. There was an increasing level of excitement and cheer for all the teams from amongst the crowd. The qualifiers led to the elimination of The Invincible Fighters. First semifinal was played between The Cridators and Giant Super Novas wherein Giant Super Novas defeated The Cridators. Second semifinal was played between Chunky Monkees and Pitch Smashers, which led to the elimination of Pitch Smashers. The Grand Finale was played between Giant Super Novas and Chunky Monkees. After a lot of speculation from the crowd and excitement, CCL’2019 finally had its first winner – CHUNKY MONKEES with both the purple and orange cap in its account.
