An orientation programme was organized for the second and third year students of Institute of Commerce, Nirma University (ICNU) to help students to embrace the new normal so that they can be explained on how to use the intended technology efficiently to ensure smooth delivery of the instruction and conduct of various curricular activities.
The orientation was organized on Google Meet. Students were welcomed by Prof. Udai Paliwal, Dean ICNU. The program began with Saraswati Vandana, remembering the goddess of Knowledge Saraswati.
Brigadier Jeewan Rajpurohit, Group Commander, NCC Headquarter, Gorakhpur was the chief guest for the orientation programme. Delivering a motivating and inspiring speech, he started by explaining how the environment and positivity of the thoughts affect our personality as well as our state of mind. He said that if a person believes in self or his/her state of mind is good, the person can build a powerful personality and can achieve any milestone the person has set for him/herself. The mantra he gave was “Aham Brahmasmi” meaning “I am the universe”. He also defined that how body reacts and works if the feeding of the sub conscious mind is powerful, spiritual, and positive. The example he gave to explain this was of one of the great guru Chanakya and the Maurya dynasty were he explained the strong personality Chanakya. He motivated about mental well-being and positive spirit. Through his experience he filled all of us with the spirit of belongingness and nationalism. He ended with some life changing word, he said ‘do what you love or start loving what you do.’
Following the speech, there was a wonderful interactive session through chat box where the students and faculties interacted clarifying their doubts and asking interesting questions. Brigadier Jeewan Rajpurohit resolved the queries and answered the questions of participants with utmost sincerity
The session was very informative and everyone appreciated it. The session ended by CS Karishma Butani with a vote of thanks to our esteemed guest and students.
