QUIZZING CHAMPIONSHIP – A National Level Online Quiz Competition

The Institute of Commerce, Nirma University (ICNU) organized “QUIZZING CHAMPIONSHIP – A National Level Online Quiz Competition” on Sunday, 10th May, 2020. The goal of the competition was to measure individual abilities & skills and to motivate students towards continuous learning. The competition was held for students appearing/appeared in HSC (10+2) during the academic year 2019-20 with an objective of stirring students during this tough time, the world is going through. This competition aimed to provide equal and just opportunity to students from various sectors such as commerce, science, arts etc. to expand their vistas and demonstrate achievements.

It was one phase competition where the participants were assessed through Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) having four options with one correct answer. There were no negative marks for wrong answers. A total of 100 Questions (100 Marks) were provided to the participants. The Quiz syllabus is divided into four major portions i.e. Current Affairs, English Language and Comprehension, Numeracy Skills and Commerce & Business. The time duration for the competition was 60 minutes. Participants were required to sit at their homes before a computer/laptop terminal and use computer/laptop-mouse while attempting the questions.

1200 students from different states across the nation and few from gulf countries registered themselves for the competition. Out of which around 850 participants appeared for the competition. Winners were graced with cash prizes and e-certificates. The details of the winners are as follows:

Moreover, the participation e-certificate was also provided to the participants who registered for the competition. 20 participants who performed extra-ordinarily well but were not able to reach top 3 positions were awarded cash prize worth Rs. 500 & an e-certificate of achievement.
