Institute of Commerce welcomed its senior students on August 16, 2022. Speaking at the inaugural session of the one-week orientation programme, the Vice President of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI) CA Aniket Talati enlightened the students about changing landscape of commerce, especially accounting. He highlighted the immense opportunities for commerce graduates in emerging interdisciplinary fields such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Blockchain technology, cyber security, and, Data Analytics, etc. He commended the institute for introducing a new four-year programme with strong interdisciplinary components of Data Analytics.
CA Bishan Shah, Chairperson of WIRC of ICAI, quoting Swami Vivekananda emphasized to senior students that the college years are years of hard work, dedication, and commitment. CA Palak Shah, Chief Accounts Officer, Nirma University, and CA Sunit Shah, Managing Committee member of WIRC of ICAI were also present at the occasion.
Welcoming the guests and students, Prof Udai Paliwal, Director of the Institute reiterated the Institute?s commitment to providing quality education in the fields of Accounting and BFSI. He also shared the details about additions to the curriculum and the introduction of interdisciplinary minors.
