Hindi Diwas Celebrations at ICNU 2024
On the 13th of September, 2024, in the heart of the New Building’s Room 305, the Institute of Commerce at Nirma University came alive with the spirit of Hindi Diwas. The celebration was not merely an event, but a symphony of cultural pride, marking a fresh beginning filled with vibrant hues of tradition. The event started with Ganesh Vandana, setting a positive tone for the day followed by captivating poetry, highlighting the depth and beauty of the Hindi language.
The faculty coordinator – Asst. Prof. Gopika Juneja, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of Hindi, deepening reverence for the national language. Invited chief guest for the occasion, Mr. Nazim Murad shed light on the practicality of Hindi, and captivated the audience with his poem, “Kya Hai Vishesh.” Renowned radio jockey, Mr. Subhash Gadhvi, invited chief guest, urged students to reflect on India’s cultural heritage and presented a compelling poem titled “Admi Asur Hai,” leaving everyone spellbound.
The event further included the recognition of winners from the Essay Writing Competition organized on the occasion of International Literacy Day, where the top participants were awarded trophies.
As the event neared its close, Prof. Udai Paliwal, Dean and Director, the Institute of Commerce, presented a memento to the chief guest, a moment that encapsulated the importance of gratitude and tradition. The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving behind cherished memories and a renewed sense of belonging.
This Hindi Diwas was more than a celebration—it was a homage to our roots, a reminder of the beauty of language, and a call to carry forward the flame of Hindi with pride and devotion. The spirit of the day lingered long after, filling hearts with a deeper love for the language that binds us to our heritage.
