Talent through a Kaleidoscope

The Institute of Commerce, Nirma University, successfully hosted the Talent Hunt- a fun-filled event on 21st and 22nd August, 2025. Talent Hunt celebrates the creativity and talents of the students and provides a great opportunity for freshers to explore and showcase their diverse gifts. The two-day Talent Hunt commenced with a formal welcome address and prayer, setting the tone for an eventful journey. The opening event, “Brandzilla”, witnessed participants pitching innovative business ideas, followed by fine arts competitions such as canvas painting, clay charms, and keychain making that showcased artistic brilliance. The Writing Relay and Extempore challenge tested the spontaneity and presence of mind of the new students, while Chess, Carrom, and Table Tennis brought out their spirit of competition. The fashion show added glamour and elegance, and the theatre performances of skits and monologues captivated the audience. The highlight of Day 1 was the stand-up comedy show, which left everyone in splits. The day concluded with the soulful voices of Crescendo.

Day 2 began with a finance event where students created market portfolios within a budget, displaying sharp analytical skills. A marketing event with a domino challenge blended creativity with critical thinking and was conducted alongside a chess competition at the yoga hall. Media and debate events engaged participants through Reel Race, SnapSprint photography, and argumentative discussions. The Oratory event and Yappers Show brought a unique twist where students narrated personal stories with emotions assigned by judges. The day ended with energetic dance performances in solo, duo, and group formats. Together, the two days reflected a perfect blend of intellect, creativity, and entertainment, making the Talent Hunt a memorable success.

The event was made possible through the unwavering support and vision of Prof. Dr. Udai Lal Paliwal, Director of ICNU. The seamless execution was led by Dr. CS. Karishma Butani, Faculty Coordinator, whose dedicated guidance played a pivotal role in its success. The hard work and creativity of the core committee of Kalanidhi, the Cultural Committee of ICNU, along with the student head coordinators from various cultural clubs, ensured a flawlessly executed and memorable evening filled with spirit and enthusiasm.
