Nirma University’s Institute of Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) on Friday, marking a significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration and promoting excellence in commerce and management education. The MoU signing ceremony was held at Nirma University and was witnessed by distinguished academicians and industry leaders.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Udai Paliwal, Director, Institute of Commerce and CMA Dr. Debaprosanna Nandy, Secretary, ICMAI; CMA Ashwinkumar Gordhanbhai Dalwadi, Former National President and Central Council Member, ICMAI in the august presence of Dr. Rajesh N. Patel, Director General, Nirma University; and Mr. G. Ramachandran Nair, Executive Registrar, Nirma University.
The partnership aims to foster academic excellence through collaborative research, faculty development programs, expert lectures, professional certification initiatives, internships, industry interactions, and student skill enhancement activities. It will also facilitate knowledge exchange between academia and industry, enabling students to gain practical exposure and develop competencies aligned with evolving professional standards.
