In today’s competitive world, experience is becoming a crucial factor when deciding who gets their foot in the company. The Institute has incorporated 3 internships (1 Community Internship and 2 Corporate Internships) into its curriculum to meet the demand of the industry.
At the end of the second semester, students are required to undergo a community internship of 3 credits by volunteering at NGOs/ Civil society organisations for 3 to 4 weeks. Through community internships, students are sensitized to social issues. They work closely on important societal issues and contribute to society and sharpen their social skills.
For corporate internships, students are required to work a minimum of 18 weeks (6 weeks at the end of the sixth semester and 12 weeks at the end of the eighth semester to earn the required credits. Through the corporate internship programme, students work at the industry/business allotted to them and gain real work life and industry experience. This enriches their practical skills and prepares them for a professional attitude at the workplace.
The institute takes continuous feedback from students/companies and implements suggestions to make internships more effective.
