The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) of the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University (ICNU) is pleased to present the third edition of our flagship academic event, the National Level Case Analysis Competition, NLCAC 3.0!
Environment, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) is the burning topic in today’s contemporary business. In this era of sustainability, profits aren’t the sole indicator of any firm’s growth anymore. Another essential aspect of ESG is that it varies from sector to sector. Like, financial services have green bonds and taxation has a carbon tax and the aim of both is to bring sustainability to the business environment. It has now landed in the hands of the businesses to cater to society as well as the environment and slacking on either won’t help their cause. Where do these new topics fit in the ever-dynamic business environment? What does it mean for the firms? How should they cope with these changes?
We wish to answer all these with real-life cases and reach a conclusion with our NATIONAL LEVEL CASE ANALYSIS COMPETITON, NLCAC 3.0. Keeping with the legacy, this event shall be conducted in three rounds.

Round 1, the Elimination round, will be conducted online where participants have to share a brief synopsis of the case given to them and will be judged on the basis of their synopsis of the case. The cases shall be assigned based on the sector they choose which includes the four sectors of Accounting, Finance and Banking, Taxation and Financial Services and Insurance.

Qualifying teams from Round 1 will head on for Round 2 where fresh cases will be allotted to them and they shall prepare a PowerPoint presentation for the same and submit it to our technical teams. They shall present these on the day of the event in front of the panel members for each segment. The winning team from each sector shall move to the final round.

In Round 3, the teams who won from each sector shall be given a new case on ESG Investing and Sustainability and they shall present their arguments in the case in the form of a debate which will be moderated by the organisers.
The last date to register is 11.59 pm on Wednesday, 28th September 2022.
