The Institute of Commerce, Nirma University (ICNU) organised a webinar on the topic “Business Ethics and Corporate Governance” on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 11:10 am onwards. Professor Nilesh Suchak, practicing Chartered Accountant and Associate Professor, R. J. Tibrewal Commerce College, Ahmedabad was the guest speaker in the webinar. The proceedings of the webinar was inaugurated with the warm welcome address to the guest speaker and students by Dr Avni Shah, Assistant Professor, Institute of Commerce followed by Prof Udai Lal Paliwal, Director and Dean, Institute of Commerce, Nirma University. Around 95 students from third year of B.Com(H) participated in the event
While addressing the participants Prof. Suchak highlighted the concept of Business Ethics and its relevance for the businesses. With the help of examples from the life of renowned personalities he gave the following lessons to the students: First, finish all the commitments to the stakeholders and Second, be agile and alert to drive away dishonest and lethargic people.
Following the speech there was a wonderful interactive session through the Webex chat box where the participants interacted, clarified their doubts and asked interesting questions. Prof. Suchak resolved the queries and answered the questions of participants with utmost sincerity.
