The Institute of Commerce, Nirma University celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on 7th October 2025 at the NIM Auditorium, marking ten years of academic excellence and growth.
The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony, including the Saraswati Vandana, lighting of the lamp, and a presentation on the journey of ICNU, reflecting its milestones and achievements. Prof. Dr. Udai Lal Paliwal, Dean and Director of the Institute, inaugurated the event with a warm and inspiring welcome address. He expressed heartfelt appreciation for the relentless efforts and valuable contributions of both faculty members and students, acknowledging their crucial role in the institute’s steady progress. He also reflected on the remarkable growth and development of ICNU over the past decade, highlighting significant milestones and achievements that have strengthened the institute’s academic reputation and excellence.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Navashil Sharma, Executive Director and CEO of InSolare Energy Limited, delivered an inspiring address. He began by emphasizing the immense prestige and value of pursuing higher education at Nirma University, an institution widely recognized for its academic excellence. Reflecting on his own journey, Mr. Sharma shared a personal anecdote about how he once aspired to be a part of Nirma University, expressing his admiration for the opportunities the institution provides. Mr. Sharma also highlighted the growing significance of pursuing education in India, stressing how the country’s rapidly evolving academic and technological ecosystem is empowering students to become global leaders and innovators.
Dr. Anup K. Singh, Director General of Nirma University, presided over the function and delivered a thoughtful and motivating address to the gathering. He began by commending the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University (ICNU), for its remarkable accomplishments and consistent efforts in fostering academic and professional excellence. In his address, Dr. Singh talked about the well-known marshmallow experiment to illustrate the importance of patience, perseverance, and delayed gratification in achieving long-term success. He urged students to remain focused on their goals, emphasizing that true excellence is built over time through consistent hard work, discipline, and resilience. His words served as an inspiring reminder that sustained commitment and a long-term vision are key to unlocking one’s fullest potential.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by trophy and certificate distribution in the post-lunch session. The celebration stood as a proud reminder of ICNU’s decade-long journey of excellence, innovation, and commitment to holistic development.
