Elysian 7.0, a flagship annual cultural fest hosted by the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University (ICNU), unfolded over three days of unmatched excitement, creativity, and talent. Spanning from 22nd to 24th January 2025, the festival offered a perfect blend of academic engagements, cultural showcases, and thrilling competitions, captivating participants and audiences alike.
Day 1: A Vibrant Beginning
Elysian 7.0, the flagship cultural fest of the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University, commenced on 22nd January with unmatched enthusiasm and excitement. The grand inaugural ceremony set the tone for the fest with a serene Saraswati Vandana, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, and an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, Mr. Lalit Jadhav, a prominent figure in financial consulting and strategic advisory. Mr. Jadhav praised the students’ outstanding organizational skills and dedication, motivating the audience with his insightful words.
Prof. Dr. Udai Paliwal, Director and Dean of the Institute, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the remarkable participation of 714 students representing 14 universities in 14 diverse events, spanning cultural, literary, and finance themes. Dr. CS Karishma Butani, the faculty coordinator, played a pivotal role in supervising the events. The unveiling of the Elysian 7.0 banner marked the commencement of a vibrant three-day celebration of learning, creativity, and camaraderie, promising an unforgettable experience for all involved.
The fest kicked off with the exhilarating Treasure Hunt, energizing participants as they deciphered cryptic clues, followed by a hands-on Stock Trading Workshop exploring market dynamics. The evening featured vibrant activities such as Literary and Academic Competitions and the ELYChef – The Fireless Cooking Competition, which showcased culinary skills and creativity. Adding a lighter touch, a stand-up comedy session entertained the audience, bringing moments of joy and laughter. The day concluded with the ELYChef Stalls Competition and a Neon Evening lit by artist Tarang’s electrifying performance. Screenings for the main fashion and music events also set the stage for spectacular showcases to come. Together, these events created a vibrant and memorable Day 1, offering participants an inspiring platform to celebrate creativity and talent.
Day 2: Enriching and Entertaining
On 23rd January, the fest resumed with a Candle Workshop fostering creativity in handcrafted arts. The FinTech Event drew significant attention with its focus on financial technology innovations, while the Vlogging Hunt encouraged participants to capture the essence of the fest creatively.
Performances dominated the evening as the Theatre Event, Music Competition, and Debate Event left spectators enthralled. The excitement escalated with Mélange – The Fashion Show at the Dome Ground and culminated in the high-energy Battle of Bands, creating an electrifying atmosphere for participants and audiences.
Day 3: A Grand Finale
The final day, 24th January, was a celebration of talent and creativity. The Dance Events and Spotlight Event featured stunning choreography, compelling photography, and storytelling brilliance. The fest concluded with a resplendent Cultural Night, featuring Artist Eve performances. Piyush Mehroliyaa, known for his popular songs like Aawara Shaam Hai and Sun Sajni, mesmerized the audience with his soulful melodies, while DJ Neil Creado, a.k.a. One Edge, amped up the energy with his electrifying beats, ensuring an unforgettable ending.
