The Institute of Commerce invited LakshMe, a CSR initiative of Prudent Company, for a session on Financial Planning for Every Life Stage.
On April 1, 2025, a guest lecture by LakshMe on financial planning was organized under the guidance of Dr. Pranav Saraswat, Associate Professor at the Institute of Commerce, for students of the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. The session was conducted as part of the Minor Course on Wealth Management and Financial Planning. The lecture covered personal financial planning across different life stages (from the 20s to the 50s and beyond). Key financial principles were discussed, including the importance of expert guidance, setting financial goals, exercising caution, and conducting due diligence in investments.
Speakers Heli Miyani and Rachana Oza introduced the RiskoMeter by SEBI to illustrate risk levels in various investment schemes. They emphasized the significance of beating inflation by smartly investing, diversifying investments, and automating savings. The session also highlighted the importance of early financial planning for long-term financial security.
This insightful session helped students understand the importance of managing finances wisely and making informed financial decisions for long-term independence. To assess their understanding, students participated in a short quiz at the end of the session.
