The Fashion Club of Kalanidhi – the cultural committee of the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University organised Fresher’s Party 2022 on the Theme – “Back to Bollywood” on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the C – Auditorium in C Block. The event was organised under the guidance and support of Prof. Udai Paliwal, Dean & Director – ICNU, and under the supervision of Faculty CS Karishma Butani, Cultural Committee Coordinator – ICNU along with the Student Coordinators of the Fashion Club, Krishna Khatri, Dev Pyasi, Krisha Patel, and Yatri Gajipara. The event started with welcoming the freshers, faculty members, and audience. Prayer was sung, after which a brief introduction of the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University and the theme of the event, “Back to Bollywood”, was given. There were two energetic and hypnotic dance performances, choreographed by Natraj, the dance club – ICNU, with power-packed and excited dancers. There were two mind-blowing and soulful music performances, prepared by Tarang, the music club – ICNU, along with a spectacular and reminiscing poetry performance. A theatre act prepared by Rangmanch, the theatre club – ICNU, displaying active comedy and passionate actors and actresses was also showcased.
Games were organized for freshers, guessing actors and actresses and movies or web series from Bollywood, results of which led to a stylish ramp walk by 12 nominated winners from the games round, where students came up as embodies of ‘Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Uday and Majnu from Welcome’, ‘Naina from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ and many more. Of the 12 ramp walkers, the winners of the title Mr & Miss Fresher were chosen by the judges-the faculty members of ICNU. The event ended after the winners’ announcement and their felicitation, by 6 pm.
The winners Mr. and Ms. Fresher of 2022 were Tirth Jyotishi as ‘Harshad Mehta from Scam 1992’ and Bhavya Shah as ‘Naina from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’.
