SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) in association with NISM (National Institute of Securities Market) conducted a Nationwide Financial Markets Quiz 2021-22 under the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM). This quiz was structured with multiple stages namely the Online round, Regional round, and National round. Over 2.72 Lakh students from 2500+ colleges participated in the Online round out of which only top 110 students from the top 55 colleges were selected for the regional round. The regional round and national round were organized between July 22 to July 24,2022 at the Patalganga campus of the National Institute of Securities Market situated in Mumbai. Nikhil Murjani and Aditya Shikar – students of second year B.Com (Hons.) programme represented the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University in this competition. The final round was conducted on July 24,2022 which witnessed 6 teams from top colleges of our country and Institute of Commerce, Nirma University was among them. The team from Nirma University was the only team of undergraduate students to reach the final round. Institute of Commerce, Nirma University had the following achievements throughout the event –
The winners were felicitated by various dignitaries from NISM and SEBI at the closing ceremony, which was graced by the Chairperson of SEBI – Ms. Madhabi Puri with certificates, shields, and medals. Dr. Nitin Kishore Saxena coordinated the Quiz event from Institute of Commerce.
