The institute welcomed its freshman batch of students on July 17, 2023. Speaking at the inaugural session of the two-week induction program, Mr. Viiveck Verma, CEO and Founder of Upsurge Global, highlighted the importance of the transition phase from school to higher education. He discussed the various aspects of competition, entrepreneurial ability, financial literacy, mental well-being, building healthy relationships, and making the most of their years of undergraduate learning. He further emphasized lifelong learning and advised the students to be ready for the innovative disruption that we experience given the technological upgrades. He motivated the students to productively and effectively manage their time, build a good network and leverage the internship and placement opportunities provided by the University.
Delivering the presidential address, Dr Anup Singh, Director General Nirma University, highlighted that the students are the brand ambassadors of Nirma University. He emphasized that the new students should uphold the values the University stands for. He also highlighted the demanding nature of Nirma University programmes.
Welcoming the guests and students, Prof Udai Paliwal, Director of the Institute, reiterated the Institute’s commitment to providing quality education in the fields of Accounting and BFSI. He also shared details about additions to the curriculum and the introduction of interdisciplinary minors. He congratulated the students for their admission to the prestigious BCom (Hons.) course offered by the institute.
Dr. Hridaya Raj Bharti presented a formal Vote of Thanks to the Chief Guest and Dignitaries for taking out their valuable time to join the inaugural session. He also extended his vote of thanks to the new students, their parents, the ICNU faculty team, the ICNU Admin Staff, and student volunteers for their commendable contribution to this event.
