Institute of Commerce, Nirma University successfully concluded the ICSSR sponsored two-week long Capacity Building Programme on “Contemporary Issues in Accounting Education and Research” on March, 12, 2022. The valedictory ceremony was held at NIM Auditorium between 2 to 3 pm.
Delivering valedictory address, Course Director – Prof Udai Lal Paliwal shared the detailed report of the training programme. He underlined that the programme was first of its type on Nirma University campus and a great success. The CBP was attended by academicians from six states and the resource persons were drawn from across the country including IIMA, SPJIMR, University of Delhi and the likes. Course participants – Dr. Somiya Anam, Ms. Simran Rohira, Dr. Maheshkumar Prajapati, and, CS Khagesh Joshi shared their experiences and feedback on the programme. They appreciated the overall quality of the course and the timely introduction of this programme in the present context. CS Karishma Butani – Co-Course Director initiated the Certificate distribution. Prof Anup Singh – Director General, Nirma University and Prof Udai Paliwal congratulated all the participants and distributed the course completion certificates. During the presidential remarks Prof Anup Singh encouraged the CBP participants to be in regular touch with the University as its alumnus and motivated them to engage in quality research. He promised that NU resources should be available for their help as and when needed. Dr Singh placed on record appreciation for generous funding from the ICSSR and reiterated the Nirma University commitment in contributing to the knowledge-based economy. Dr. Sumita Shroff – Co-Course Director, presented a formal vote of thanks. The event concluded with the recital of the National Anthem.
