“Humility will lead us to UNITY, and UNITY will lead us to peace”. With this motto, the NSS unit of the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University, celebrated National Unity Day 2022 on October 31, 2022. On the occasion, Assistant Prof Ashutosh Pandey, NSS Programme Officer, ICNU, NSS volunteers, and students took the Unity Day oath and pledged to themselves that they would preserve the nation’s unity, integrity and security. A total of about 35 students participated in the event. After the oath, a documentary on the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was shown to honour the legacy of the Iron Man of India. The students and volunteers saw the story behind the unification of India post-independence and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s role in ensuring our country’s sovereignty and integrity. Thanks to the iron man of India for uniting the whole country, because of which we have UNITY IN DIVERSITY. The whole event was coordinated under the guidance of Asst. Prof Ashutosh Pandey, NSS Programme Officer, ICNU.
