On March 01, 2023, Mr Rutvij Dasadia founder of Booz Mobility – a start-up featured in Shark Tank India was invited to engage a session on the topic “Perks and Downs of Entrepreneurship” for the students of Sem VI. The session aimed to provide an overview of entrepreneurship as a career choice and discuss the advantages and challenges of starting and running a business. The session was attended by 190 students of the B.Com (H) programme. During the session, Mr Rutvij shared his personal experiences as an entrepreneur. He said entrepreneurs are free to work on their terms and pursue their business vision. Entrepreneurship also provides a platform for creativity and innovation. Entrepreneurs can come up with unique ideas and solutions to societal problems. Successful entrepreneurship can lead to significant financial rewards as well. However, starting a business involves a certain degree of risk. Entrepreneurs invest time, money, and effort into their businesses without guaranteeing success. Entrepreneurs are responsible for every aspect of their business, from finances to customer service. Also, the future of a business is never certain. Entrepreneurs must be prepared to deal with unexpected challenges and setbacks. Mr Rutvij also emphasized the importance of having a clear business plan, conducting market research, and seeking advice from mentors and experts in the field. He encouraged the students to think creatively and pursue their passion while being aware of the risks involved in entrepreneurship.
The session gave the students a valuable introduction to the perks and downs of entrepreneurship. Prof. Ashutosh Pandey, Assistant Professor of Economics at Institute of Commerce Nirma University, moderated the session.
