“TERRA QUEST” Quiz Competition held at the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University was organized by the LITWITS- Literary Committee. The event took place on March 21st,2025 in alignment with the celebration of International Day of Forests (March 21,2025), World Water Day (March 22,2025) and Earth Day (April 22,2025).
The International Day of Forests celebrations delved into the integral relationship between forests and food security, exploring sustainable agriculture practices, traditional harvesting techniques, and the natural bounty that forests provide. Participants demonstrated a profound commitment to merging conservation with food production, their passion and innovative spirit underscoring the vital need to protect and sustainably manage our forest resources for future generations.
The quiz on glacier preservation and the pivotal role these icy reservoirs play in regulating the Earth’s water systems were at the forefront of the World Water Day 2025-day event. The event spotlighted innovative conservation strategies and proactive monitoring techniques, while also encouraging widespread community involvement. It was clear from the participants’ fervent passion and unwavering dedication that they are determined to advance sustainable glacier management, recognizing its critical importance in maintaining global water security and ecological balance.
