As a part of Orientation Programme, ICNU organised a lecture on “Using Prowess for Analysis and Interpretation” for its students of Semester V on July 18, 2022 between 3 to 4 pm. The Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) is a leading business information company. It produces economic and business databases and develops specialized analytical tools to deliver these to its consumers for decision-making and for research purposes. It plays a big role in analyzing the data to decipher trends in the economy. Mr. Parth Rana from CMIE demonstrated the use if Prowess IQ product of CMIE to extract information about different companies. Prowess Interactive Query is a search engine to derive information about companies. Prowess IQ has data content of 52000 companies of the last 32 years of every single company. It also consists of news about each and every company of the last 10 to 15 years. It also consists of stock announcements as well and financial statements. Using, analysis, and interpretation of information from ProwessIQ was discussed in depth by Mr. Parth Rana. The session was attended by 120 participants including students and faculty members.
