The Institute of Commerce as a part of its Institute Lecture Series organised a lecture on the topic “Opportunities for Finance Professionals in Industry 4.0”. The Lecture was delivered by the invited eminent speaker CA Nitin Parekh – CFO of Zydus Lifesciences. Prof Udai Paliwal – Director and Dean, Institute of Commerce, Nirma University in his welcome address shared that in coming time, many jobs will vanish but a greater number of new jobs requiring newer skills, commitment to life-long learning and agility will emerge. CA Nitin Parekh in his address submitted that accounting shall always remain the base of the finance function. He highlighted that the Finance Professionals in Industry 4.0 shall have to be well versed with the knowledge of Technology and should be ready to embrace new technologies. He also inspired the students to manage time effectively and cultivate passion which is important for achieving one’s life goals. Dr. Pranav Saraswat proposed formal vote of thanks.
