This time Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the celebration of the Annual Fest “Elysian 3.o – High on Colors” organised by Faculty Coordinator CS Karishma Butani and Head Coordinators Divya Baheti and Saumya Dalwani from Semester 6 was conducted through an online platform i.e., Cisco Webex which was conducted between 28th-30th January, 2021. There were Over 500 Participants all across India and some international participants too taking part in various events like Dance, Art, Music, Fashion, Academic, Literary, gaming events and social Events.

The event begin with inaugurating the Annual Fest “Elysian 3.0” on 28th January 2021 from 11.00 am onwards on the online platform Cisco Webex. Our dean, Prof Udai Paliwal formally welcomed all the dignitaries’ present colleagues and participants from various parts of the country & students. He congratulated everyone for actively participating in the competition and wished for the success of the event. He appreciated the efforts put by the students to make this event happen in online platform. The chief guest Mr. Ashok Odhrani briefed us with his thoughts on Entrepreneurship and Business Growth on the day of inaugural ceremony.

EVENTS CONDUCTED ON 28TH JANUARY 2021 –

Battle of Wits – Cash Clash – It was a stock simulation event under the academic events group in which participants had to channelize their inner warren buffet. Under this 2-day event, on 28th trading and quiz rounds were conducted in which 28 teams participated.

Felicia – All the fine arts events were conducted on 28th of January. Felicia, the fine arts event of Elysian glammed up in its third version in Elysian 3.0 the event was to light up the fire in the artists and to provide them a platform to show their creative talent to everyone. A total of three very interesting and creative events: Best Out Of Waste, Chitrakala and Loop A Dot were organised under Felicia. Felicia was one of the most spectacular events which engrossed a total of 86 participants who very enthusiastically participated in the various fine arts events. The Event began with the welcoming of the students and the judges for the event Mrs. Payal Tarpara and Mrs. Bhavna Khatri.

Rangshala – This theatre event helped the students to showcase their inner talent of acting and transform into a better human being. This Institute welcomed our honoured judges Mr. Chinmay Singh Tanwar and Mr.Saransh Motwani. The event was divided into 3 broad categories monoacting ( monoabhinay ) mimicry (nakalbaaz ) and stand-up comedy ( laughing teeth ) Around 20 participants took part in this event from different cities and different colleges and gave us some great performances.

Lit Wits-Knock Out – This was a debate event under the literary events, as a part of felicitation prospect Mr Jainil Shah Youth advisor and veteran Corporate professional and Miss Samridhhi Mandawat Padmashri winner as judges.

Enlivening – Fashion and Blogging Event – This event was a grand success! The program started at 5 p.m. and the judges Ms. Riya Turakhia, one of the renowned Fashion blogger and content creator and Ms. Ritvi Shah, a prominent Fashion Stylist and entertainer, were welcomed by the Faculty Coordinator Ms. Karishma Butani and the Enlivening Organizing Committee. It had 2 categories – ‘What’s your style’ and ‘Winter Look Book’. The event had around 200 plus participants.

On 29th of January, we had Mr. Sanjay Raval as our guest who spoke about new ways to perceive life, fearlessly. He emphasized on the purpose of life and the birth of mankind and says one should touch the sky but have their feet on the ground, always. He defines fearless as someone who lives for themselves and does not bother to worry about what others think. He strongly focused on taking care of our personal health while serving our family and the nation.

EVENTS CONDUCTED ON 29TH JANUARY 2021 –

Battle of Wits – Cash Clash – The 3rd and the last case-study round was conducted on 29th of January. The judges for this round were – Mr. Bhavesh Rajpal, Mr. Ravi Uttamchandani and CA Harsh Mehta.

Battle of Wits- Plan-O-Pitch – The distinguished Judges of the event were CA Niyati Nawab and Dr. Yashree Dixit. The students from various Colleges participated in the Event. Total 10 teams participated in this event. The time slots were given to each team to Present their business plan. One by one teams started their presentation as team finished their Presentation. There was Question and Answer Round in which the member who had not participated in presentation had Answered the question asked by Judges.

Lit Wits -Kavyanjali – The Final Round of Kavyanjali event was held on 29th and Round 1’s judgement had been gaudged by Judges a day prior on grounds of the participants’ phonetic video. Then Sequentially as per respective nod All contenders come up and Recited their heartmelting and Gripping poems on Title Sound of Silence through Both Hindi and English Language authorized. Then Judges commented by reflecting that their poetry is so attention seeking and Flamboyant along with certain faintness and feeble area of perception. Then Eventually Both Judges share their experience and acquaintances, lessons, Perception, and imperativeness of content to be indulged in a poetry contest and they believed that this specific event prompted them also to explore and grasp sagaciousness.

Take A Break- IPL Auction – There were two meetings going on simultaneously for ipl auction in one meeting the bidder for the event was pankaj Sharma,who was the alumni and in other meeting the bidder was the member of sports committee. There was great enthusiasm in all the players. The host, bidder, and sub coordinators handled the program in a phased manner and gave their best in it. There was a good number in participation as well as interaction.

Drop-A-Beat – The Dance Event – The entire event was divided into two categories: Solo and Duet Dance. There was a lot of talent seen this year as participants from all over Nation were found. All of them beautifully showcased their talent with different props and colourful attire. The event was a huge success and it was honour of us having Mr. Devesh Bahaddur and Mr.Jayprakash Gajendranath Singh as out judges which made the event more spectacular.

Cadence – The Music Event – Solo Singing and Instrumental Music Competition was organised for under graduates. Students showcased many melodious numbers from different genres. The competition was held in three categories – Hindi Vocals, English Vocals and Instrumental Music. The melodious songs pulled the heartstrings of the audience. The musical evening was graced by the presence of judges, Mr. Karan Patel , Mr. Jainam Modi and Miss. Lagani Shah who thoroughly enjoyed the mellifluous songs.

 Dr. Chinmay Pandya was being called as a guest speaker for the last day of the fest – “Elysian 3.0”. on 30 th of January 2021, Institute of Commerce, Nirma University hosted social events and closing ceremony as part of the events of the virtual annual fest – “Elysian 3.0”. Dr. Chinmay sir motivated the students and participants as to how life can be improved despite the problems, how one can be successful despite the challenges and also be thankful to God.

EVENTS CONDUCTED ON 30TH JANUARY 2021 –

Lit Wits – GenOrator – This was an elocution event held on 28th and 29th of January having 2 rounds under Literary events. In Round 1, chronologically as per respective nod all 16 Participants navigated their port of Speech Delivery. And in Round 2, by chronologically all paricipants bursted their perception withing 5 minutes of duration on topic provided last night to them where they have to flip their rhythm confronting to judge monitorance. So, all Partcipants Resembles the Same Provisons and Hence all expressed themselves. Around 100 participants joined the event and; Jainil Shah and Samriddhi Mandawat were invited to be the judges for the event.

Anmol Muskan – Social Events – 4 such events were organised as due to the pandemic all the NGO’s and charitable organizations have remained closed so the students could not visit. The events are: ‘Kahaaniyaan Laayengi Chehron Par Muskan’ in which participants sent us recording stories for blind children; ‘Old is Gold’ where participants courier old books and games which were later donated to our ICNU connected NGOs; ‘Dada – Dadi live session’ was organised on 29th of January where students of ICNU and participants from around the nation interacted beautifully and enthusiastically with old age people from 2innings Old age home and there were performances arranged to be shown to them with love; ‘Mask Baniye’ event in which participants made hand made masks and distributed to needy people. In all the events, bigger participation was received, students all over the nation were generous and it blessed every heart out there who was part of such a wonderful event.

Closing Ceremony – Itwas being presided by Dr. Avani Shah, Institute of Commerce’s faculty who appreciated the efforts of faculty coordinator and respective head and event student coordinators. This was followed by CS Karishma Butani, faculty coordinator of ‘Elsyian 3.0’ in depth. She appreciated every committee’s efforts regarding how beautifully the respective different events were organised by respective student committees. Saumya Dalwani, head coordinator of ‘Elysian 3.0’ mentioned that despite several fights among coordinators and virtual challenges, they broke the record of the number of participants and the virtual annual fest came out to be an amazing ride from the comfortable fit of the homes as promised. This was followed by Divya Baheti’s speech, head coordinator of ‘Elysian 3.0’, she was grateful for respective faculties and dean to give her this opportunity. She mentioned how despite the difficulties faced and calls not being picked up, it was indeed a wonderful experience for her to be working with Karishma ma’am and Saumya as a partner.
